Description of the
software
|

|
- 'Pull down' menu driven
user interface with Mouse and on-line
help support.
- The help contains the
operating instructions.
- Baud rate up to 115200
Baud (other baud rates are possible by
changing the crystal).
- Selectable time resolution
of 1.0 or 0.2 millisecond.
- Adjustable record buffer
from 1000 to 150'000 data records or
events (maximum depends on free memory).
- For half duplex protocols,
together with the interface converter, it
will need only one serial interface of
the PC (Notebook).
- Display in ASCII or HEX
characters.
- Status display of the RTS
and CTS control lines.
- Date & time of each
byte.
- Search for data pattern or
buffer position.
- Intel 9 Bit multidrop
protocol support (e.g. 8051 mode 3).
- Time measuring such as
response time, repeat time etc.
- Evaluates values, binary
or Hex LSB or MSB first:
- 8, 16, 24, 32 bit signed
or unsigned integer.
- 4 byte IEEE and Siemens
floating point, 2 word Modbus floating
point.
- Values can be exported to
make graph charts in Excel, Works, Lotus,
etc.
- Trigger data pattern up to
32 bytes. Each byte can be ASCII, Hex,
Binary where: Each byte, nibble, bit,
ASCII hex bit can be ignored or be set to
a value.
- Trigger to line level
changes of RTS or CTS.
- Data error trigger such as
frame or parity error.
- Trigger for an external
contact.
- Trigger output to trigger
a slave Protocol Analyser.
- Settable time out trigger.
- Automatic data store
and/or stop on trigger.
- Display filter to show
only triggered data.
- Runs on a PC 80286 or
higher, DOS-5.0 or higher, Windows 3.1,
95, 98.
- Runs also under Windows
ME, NT and 2000 with some limitations.
Especially because these versions do not
support direct hardware access. It means
that half duplex mode (see full version)
and 9-Bit mode is not working.
