The Protocol Analyser is a tool
to monitor and analyse data on a serial link
between two ore more devices (data scope). It is
helpful for developing, debugging and start up.
It was designed for communications of PLC and
systems of industrial measuring and control
engineering.
This analyser makes it easy to analyse serial
links in the lab, development and on site. The
extensive trigger, time measuring and evaluation
possibilities are helpful for debug and
development. It uses the standard RS232 serial
port from the PC, is pull down menu driven with
mouse support and online help. For half duplex
protocols, the interface converter needs only one
serial port of the PC. It converts RS232, RS422,
RS485 and 20 mA current loop signals without
external power.
The software runs under MS-DOS version 5.0. It
can be run under Windows 3.1, 95 or 98 in a
DOS-Box.
